Warhammer 40k - Dawn of War - Winter Assault - Problem

Hallo , ich habe mir heute Warhammer 40k Winter Assault gekauft ,mich darauf gefreut wie ein Schnitzel und sobald ich daheim war erstmal alles installiert...nunja soweit lief auch alles ganz gut...aber wenn ich auf die Startdatei gehe dann rechnet der pc kurz und ... sonst nichts...ich komm nicht rein...woran könnte das liegen ? direkt x9 hab ich installiert die patches hab ich reinkopiert ... hab ich irgend was falsch gemacht ? Ich hab ne geforce 2 ti kann es sein das die direct x 9 nicht unterstützt ? weil für winter assault braucht man das ja

Bei mir läuft Winter Ausault ohne Probleme - der neuste Patch ist glaub ich 1.41. Haste den?
Wenn ja starte mal das Grafikkonfigurationsprogramm von Dawn of War.
Installier außerdem mal die neusten Grafikkartentreiber - löst 95% aller Probleme.

Also ich lad mir grad den patch 1.41 runter wenn es mit dem geht dann editier ich das später rein...wie gesagt hab ich ja ne geforce 2 ti also ne echte antiquität...als ich also auf der nvidia seite nach treibern suchte hatten se nur für die geforce 2 mx welche...wisst ihr zufällig wo ich die neuesten treiber für meine grafikkarte herbekommen kann ?

Ok ich hab mir jetzt treiber für meine grafikkarte heruntergeladen...an der situation hat sich allerdings nichts geändert...ich mach nen doppelklick auf die startdatei er rechnet kurz und fertig...des ist echt zum heulen

Was auch noch sehr merkwürdig ist ist das wenn ich auf updaten gehe das er mir dann das spiel deinstalliert...ist das bei dir auch so oder ist einfach mein Spiel im A...imer ?

Aktualisier auch mal deine Mainboard treiber.

Symptoms: Game won't start, error message stating that "spooge driver not found, verify that directX is installed" is displayed.

Problem: Your graphics card is not being initialized correctly by the game.

Possible solutions:
Before you start your own "spooge driver" thread, please try the following three things.

1. Make sure that your card can actually run Dawn of War. Here's an (incomplete) list:

Cards that will run Dawn of War
-ATI Radeon 8500 and above
-Nvidia Geforce 2 and above

Cards that will not run Dawn of War
-Intel integrated graphics chips
-S3 chip family of integrated cards
-Matrox Parhelia family

Note that there are a few exceptions.
Remember, you need a card that is Hardware T&L capable.


2. Update your video card drivers. This is the number one most common fix for this problem. The latest versions of the video drivers can be downloaded here for ATI cards and here for nvidia.

3. Check if your mainboard chipset drivers are installed and up to date. We've seen quite a few cards running in PCI mode due to the chipset drivers not being installed or totally out of date. This really slows your cards down.

If you have tried all of the above, and nothing has worked, then go ahead and check if someone else has a spooge driver thread open. We don't expect you to go through a month's worth of posts, but if you could just check the thread titles on the front page, that'd be nice.

If you can't find your problem adressed in a thread, create a new one. Create it in the Dawn of War Technical Assistance Forum. Please include the warnings.log and the dxdiag.txt in your first post (see how to find those files here) along with a clear description of your problem.

This fix is for those who have run into the problem of a non-initializing Winter Assault executable (the problem which failed to generate a warnings.log file).

Apparently, it's as simple as changing the file's executable to Windows 2000 compatibilty mode. To do this simply right click on WH40kWA.EXE in the DoW folder, select compatiblity, and change the compatibilty mode to Windows 2000. The game should now run. This solution is for XP users, but I have a funny feeling the only ones having this problem are XP users. Enjoy!

Oh wow...vielen dank ich musste doch tatsächlich nur einstellen das es mit win2000 kompatibel ist...so viel aufwand und so eine einfache lösung...oh jeah es geht...vielen dank ohne dich würde ich wohl immernoch dasitzen und rätseln
